These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Easy To Know ("Easy To Know", "we", "our", "the app") governing your use of the app, an all-in-one Android toolkit that includes file sharing, mission alarms, weather, a network speed test, a free VPN, IP lookup, clipboard history, notification history, device activity and app usage logs, device and app info tools, a file manager and browser, a storage analyzer, a media converter and a terminal. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and able to form a binding contract. By using the app you confirm you meet these requirements.
2. Using the App
Easy To Know bundles independent tools into one app:
- File Sharing — sends and receives files between Android devices over a local WiFi connection created by the app.
- Alarms — mission-based alarms that ring and run wake-up missions on your device.
- Weather, Speed Test, IP Info — retrieve results from free third-party public services (see our Privacy Policy).
- Free VPN — routes your traffic through a third-party VPN network when you enable it.
- Clip Manager, Notification History, Device Activity, App Usage and App Activity Log — keep local history on your device and need special access that you enable yourself.
- Device Info, Apps Manager, File Manager, File Browser, Storage Analyzer, Media Converter and Terminal — operate locally on your device.
You may sign in with Google or continue as a guest, and must grant the permissions each tool needs, as described in our Privacy Policy. The app is an independent tool and is not created, endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated with Google, Cloudflare, Open-Meteo, ipinfo.io, OpenRouter or any other third-party service beyond its use of their public services.
3. Your Account and Device
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your Google account credentials secure, if you sign in
- All activity through the app on your device or account
- Which special access (accessibility, notification access, all files access) you turn on, and for any laws that apply to recording or reviewing activity on the device
- Telling us promptly of any unauthorized use related to the app
Use Device Activity, Clip Manager and Notification History only on devices you own or are authorized to manage. Do not use them to monitor another person without their knowledge and consent.
4. License to Use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law prohibits this restriction.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the app to:
- Transfer, access or route content that is illegal, infringing, obscene or violates others' rights
- Distribute malware or code meant to damage another person's device
- Access another person's device, clipboard, notifications or activity without authorization
- Use the Free VPN for any illegal purpose, to evade law enforcement, or to violate the acceptable-use terms of the underlying VPN provider
- Reverse-engineer, disable or interfere with the app's security features or its servers, including the Item Hunt verification service
- Use bots or scrapers to access the app outside normal use
6. File Transfers & Content Responsibility
Easy To Know only provides the technical means for two devices to transfer files over local WiFi, and for other tools to reach their third-party services. We do not review, monitor or store the content of transferred files or VPN traffic. You are solely responsible for the files you send and receive, your use of the Free VPN, and for having the right to share any content involved.
7. Local History Tools
Clip Manager, Notification History, Device Activity, App Usage and App Activity Log store data on your device only. Clipboard and notification text can include sensitive information such as passwords, messages or codes. You are responsible for choosing retention settings, clearing history, and protecting your device with a screen lock. We are not responsible for exposure of this data through access to your unlocked device, a rooted or compromised device, or backups you create.
8. The Free VPN Feature
The Free VPN routes your traffic through a third-party VPN network (Cloudflare WARP), as described in our Privacy Policy. By enabling it, you acknowledge that:
- Your traffic is subject to the terms and acceptable-use policy of the VPN network provider, in addition to these Terms
- We do not guarantee any speed, uptime or availability, because it depends on a third-party network outside our control, and the provider may change or end access at any time
- It is provided for general privacy and should not be relied on for guaranteed anonymity or security
9. Accuracy of Weather, Speed Test & Alarms
Weather forecasts, air quality and speed test results come from third-party services and are estimates only; do not rely on them for safety-critical decisions. Alarms depend on your device's operating system waking the app on time, including battery-optimization, Do-Not-Disturb, pop-up and lock-screen settings (which some phone brands restrict by default). Wake-up missions, the AI item check and sensor-based missions (steps, squats, shake) may sometimes misjudge. We do not guarantee an alarm will ring or a mission will complete under all circumstances, and you should not rely on the app as your only way to wake up for time-critical events.
10. Intellectual Property
The app's design, code, logo and branding are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that intellectual property to you.
11. Third-Party Services
The app relies on Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication (optional sign-in), Cloudflare (Free VPN and Speed Test), Open-Meteo (Weather), ipinfo.io (IP Info) and OpenRouter (optional Item Hunt AI check). Your use of these through the app is also governed by each provider's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for outages, rate limits or changes in any third-party service that affect the app.
12. Availability
We aim to keep the app working but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. File transfer depends on your hardware and local WiFi; other tools depend on third-party services and your connection, and Android or phone-maker changes can affect accessibility, notification and alarm features. Features may be changed, suspended or discontinued at any time, with or without notice.
13. Disclaimer / No Warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue or profits arising from use of the app, including lost files during transfer, missed alarms, lost clipboard or notification history, inaccurate weather or speed-test results, VPN connectivity issues, or device damage.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of a third party's rights through files you transfer, data you monitor or content you access through the Free VPN.
16. Termination
We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated. You may stop using the app and request deletion of your data at any time by signing out, revoking access in your Google Account, uninstalling the app, or emailing us below.
17. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless local consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise. Please try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us before pursuing formal proceedings.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
